Hello!

Karis Rogerson was born in South Carolina but grew up in Italy, most recently in the gorgeous seaside town of Trieste. She went to high school at an American boarding school in Germany, attended college in Kentucky, and spent 11 years living in New York City before an impromptu move to North Carolina. 

By day, Karis works in content marketing. She is a passionate reader of all books, but especially loves YA fiction and adult romance. Karis writes essays that focus on books and their authors; mental health; relationships; and so much more. You can find her as the host of the brunch-themed romance author podcast Publishers Brunch.

Karis is also a novelist represented by Eric Smith at Neighborhood Literary. Karis has an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and in the summer of 2024 she was a Lambda Literary fellow for YA. Her debut novel, Nat and Cami's Guide to Running an Undercover GSA, came out June 23, 2026.
